after Endodontic Treatment
Following your endodontic procedure, it is normal to experience slight tenderness in the treated tooth and surrounding gum tissue for several days. This sensitivity is a result of both the treatment and the pre-existing condition of your tooth and should not be a cause for concern.
Chewing and Eating
Avoid chewing on the treated side of your mouth until the endodontic therapy is fully completed and your tooth has been restored with a permanent protective restoration by your general or restorative dentist.
Oral Hygiene
You may continue your regular brushing and flossing routine unless otherwise directed.
Managing Discomfort
- Ibuprofen (Advil)
- Aspirin
- Acetaminophen (Tylenol)
Important: Avoid alcohol consumption while taking any of these medications.
